3 Tips for Your 2024 Glow Up

Show Up as Your Best Self in 2024 with These 3 Self-Care Tips…That I’ve Learned the Hard Way!

It’s almost time to hit our collective reset button.

The New Year is here, and I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on this past year….and how I can make 2024 the best year yet.

Some of you may know, I spent 2023 on an intense journey with my personal health.

From dealing with chronic inflammation and pain, to finally receiving my Ankylosing Spondylitis diagnosis, it’s been a wild ride!

And while I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come (and the plant medicine + people that’ve supported me immensely along the way!), I’m committing to taking my self-care and wellness journey even further in the New Year.

These 3 resolutions are lessons I’ve had to learn over and over again, the hard way!

I hope this blog helps you to avoid some of these pitfalls and have the happiest, healthiest New Year.

Resolution 1: Plan Rest

Plan it like it’s your job. Literally. Because it is.

Our culture’s hustle & bustle mentality is toxic. The phrase “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” started as a joke, but it seems to be becoming a reality.

But I’m here to remind you today: we don’t need to die to rest.

Rest is essential. Rest is our birthright. Rest is radical in a culture that glorifies the grind.

Natural law dictates that every inhale is followed by an exhale—we must balance work and rest to live our best lives.

So schedule “you time” in your calendar, schedule it like work. Book in time for a massage, a walk, or even a midday nap.

Because you can’t pour from an empty vessel, and the world needs your magic!

Resolution 2: Stay Hydrated

It’s a fact: you’re not your best when you’re dehydrated.

And weed especially has a tendency to dry you out. I’m guessing you’re a fan too? 😅

So this New Year, I’m committing to carrying a water bottle with me everywhere I go.

Because f*ck single-use plastic. And you’ll be surprised how much more water you drink when you have it on you at all times.

Your skin will thank you, too.

Resolution 3: Stock Up on Healthy Munchies

Another one of weed’s super powers…stimulating our appetites!

Munchies are an unavoidable part of being a stoner.

So set yourself up for success by stocking up on healthy & balanced whole foods to munch on.

It’s okay to indulge in that cupcake every now and then, but why not use your weed-fueled appetite as an opportunity to get in your fruit & veg servings for the day!

Some of my favorite healthy munchie-approved snacks: dip veggies in hummus, make a blueberry hemp seed smoothie, or a hemp seed granola bowl!

Eating hemp is another great way to enjoy the health benefits of cannabis…so next time you spark up, bring along a side of healthy hemp snacks for double the benefits.

I hope these tips remind you: showing up FOR YOU isn't optional.

We have to put ourselves on the agenda in 2024, too, or we won’t be showing up as our best selves.

Your body is a temple, and it’s your job to protect it and nourish it, every day.

Here’s to our collective glow-up in 2024!

P.S. I’m also resolving to SESH LIVE every day for 30-days straight over on my YouTube channel—starting on New Year’s Day.
