SMOKING WITH THE DOGGFATHER HIMSELF (PART 2)

Snoop: When I brought Wiz into the movie world with “Mac and Devin”, it’s because I saw something in him. When we did that movie, he didn’t even want to do it. He was nervous. By the third or fourth day, he was a star!

And to this day I’m still seeing it in him. When I watch his music videos, performances, and interviews. He’s flawless, and I’m proud of him.

Tammy: That’s amazing, you saw it in him and you were right.

Snoop: I saw it in him just like people saw it in me. When somebody sees a vision in you, it’s your job to see it in somebody else. He gives a lot of opportunities to the people around him. It’s like a point guard, a point guard’s job is to distribute the ball. And that’s what he’s doing.

Tammy: I can’t wait to see who Wiz picks! Don’t forget, the culture has to choose you too. You’re right, I see how intentional you were with passing the torch to Wiz.

Snoop: When I knew I was the one, was when High Times Magazine crowned me “Stoner of the Year”. Not only did I win it once, I won it back-to-back years! That’s when I knew I was at the top.

Wiz is at the top now, and he will have to find somebody with the same kind of accolades to pass the torch to.

Not only did I choose Wiz, my kids chose him. My son was playing his music all of the time, that’s how I first heard him. Once I reached out to him, he came and stayed at my house for like 5 days.

That’s when we first talked about making the movie, and even started working on the music before the movie was official! The song we made  “Young, Wild & Free” to this day is my biggest song.

Tammy: That’s awesome! I remember going to the High School Reunion Tour concert in two different cities, and that song was definitely a crowd favorite.

Now to switch gears, who do you predict will win the NBA Finals? You know I had to ask.

Snoop: I’m going to stay on the west coast and go with OKC. I know you’re from OKC so I hope they come through for you! I can’t root for you during football season with our Lions and Steelers rivalry.

Tammy: I firmly believe in my Lions this season!

Snoop: I’m pulling for y’all, hopefully one of us will have a good season!

Tammy: I’m sure you are, that’s why you always let me know when we lose! I hate having to answer my phone when we lose.

Snoop: I remember going to the Cowboys vs Steelers for Sunday Night Football, I came out waving the towel and hyping up the crowd just for the Steelers to lose! I was so mad.

Tammy: Well the Lions are coming to LA to play the Rams this year, and I’m definitely going. If I’m there for the media, they better know I’m not going into the Rams locker room!

Snoop: You’re friends with Matthew Stafford right? You should definitely interview him.

Tammy: Yeah the Staffords are my people, I remember my first time doing a Rams game and meeting his kids, and now they’ll yell my name when they see me at the games. His wife Kelly is great too!

So I guess I would go into their locker room, but I wouldn’t know what to ask. Sometimes reporters ask inappropriate questions and I don’t want that to be me.

I’m still finding my way as a sports reporter, but as a weed girl, I think I’ve got it down pat.

Snoop: Just mix and match your traits. Take your best traits from one side and incorporate them to the other side, that’s what I try to do.

Tammy: Yeah, maybe I’ll ask the athletes what strain they like to smoke after games!

Snoop: Well you can do that now that the NBA and NFL aren’t testing anymore. The other leagues didn’t seem to care about it. I’ve smoked with plenty of MLB players right before games and nothing ever happened.

Tammy: Just like NFL hall of famer Calvin Johnson, got super high before most of his games! I appreciated that, because his will to succeed was much like Kobe Bryant. He was dialed in. Cannabis was a big part of his success and recovery.

The cannabis restrictions are coming around, but we still have a lot of work to do. Which brings me back to my original point: You and I have both done our parts to break the stigma of this plant. I smoked in secret for years, but I also wanted to pay my respect to the plant for motivating me and helping me change my life. I felt that it was appropriate that I try to help everyone understand how it does that.

People don’t understand that your body actually makes weed, and whatever your body needs nature usually supplements for. We need weed and it’s from God! I’m going to keep shouting it from the rooftops, and you keep being a living example to free the plant!

Snoop: I’m no stranger to danger and I know what I’m here for. I’m going to keep talking about it, keep breathing it, keep living it!
