And finally my breath lovers!
Me personally, I really love an OG terpene profile! OG’s give me great energy, clarity, and make me feel happy while sweet smelling strains make me sleepy.
Citrus strains can sometimes produce some unfavorable effects, and breaths really give me a heady high. But for my best friend, its completely different!

MY Two Cents: Terpenes + THC PERCENTAGES
During my review, words like indica and sativa and THC percentage will hardly be mentioned. What does matter—and I mean really matters—is the terpenes.
The word indica, means India in Latin, and the word sativa means cultivate. Those words are used to describe what the plant looks like and how it grows! That’s it!
The urban legend is that sativa gives you energy and indica makes you sleepy, is a myth. Essentially everything we smoke nowadays is a hybrid strain due to generations of cross breeding.
Now, about those THC percentages…
While this number provides interesting data and cool information, it has absolutely no bearing on how you’re going to feel after consuming your cannabis!
This is where the terpenes or terps come in!
Terpenes are occurring, chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant (and tons of other plants) are responsible for the final effect that you’ll feel, and each person reacts differently to different terpene profiles.

Don’t worry about sativa or indica.
🌿 The Lineup 🌿
Now for the part you’ve been waiting for—my review of Source Cannabis’ six newest strains hitting Cali shelves.
1. The Social Butterfly 🦋 - Rainbow Runtz
→ Who It’s For: The OG Lovers & The Sweet Smokers
→ Notes: orange, lavender, hops
→ Genetics: Zkittlez x Gelato #33
→ Terpenes: limonene, linalool, myrcene
Now I’m not a huge fan of sweeter smelling cannabis because it can make me really sleepy, but this one has a sweet smell with a side of gas which really balanced the effects for me!
The taste while consuming was top tier. This one would be ideal in social settings.
2. The OG of OG’s 👑 - Classic Jack
→ Who It’s For: The OG Lovers, The Citrus Heads
→ Notes: Earthy, Hops, Cinnamon
→ Genetics: Jack Herer
→ Terpenes: ocimene, myrcene, beta caryophyllene
The smell of this strain is so pungent! It’s very earthy and provided a nice relaxing feeling.
I’m not the biggest Jack fan, but this one is the exception and I can’t wait to get my hands on more of this.
3. The DREAMWeaver 🍇 - Grape Funk
→ Who It’s For: The Sweet Smokers, The Breath Fans
→ Notes: pine, hops, cinnamon
→ Genetics: Mendo Purps x Skunk x Afghani-1
→ Terpenes: pinene, myrcene, beta caryophyllene
The smell and crystallization of this strain is phenomenal! It’s a mixture of sweet and breath, but breath strains are some of my least favorite because they give me a “dumb high” feeling.
Now if that’s your thing, this strain would be perfect, but for me, I must make sure I have nothing to do after consuming this! Because this is equivalent to a sleeping pill.
4. The Journey 🏕 - Quest
→ Who It’s For: The OG Lovers & The Breath Fans
→ Notes: cinnamon, orange, hops
→ Genetics: Garden Rescue - Gorilla Glue Phenotype
→ Terpenes: beta caryophyllene, limonene, myrcene, linalool
The smell and the little red hairs on Quest are truly marvelous! It gave off a great gassy aroma, but I got a bit tired after consuming this flower, which is usually the opposite of what an OG does to me!
So because of that trickery, it landed as my least favorite.
5. The Kick-Back 🛋️ - Barbershop
→ Who It’s For: The OG Lovers The Breath Fans
→ Notes: orange, cinnamon, hops
→ Genetics: The Last OG x Gelato #41 by Zodiak Genetics
→ Terpenes: limonene, caryophyllene, myrcene, pinene
Oh, the breath-smelling cannabis strains just want me locked in the couch and lethargic—I’m convinced!
This strain was another knock-out in the scent department, as it gave off a signature OG aroma, but it left me a bit lazy. This strain is perfect for me at the end of the day and want to kick back with a nice blunt.
6. MY FAVE 🏆 - London Pound Cake
→ Who’s It’s For: The OG Lovers
→ Notes: orange cinnamon, pine
→ Genetics: Sunset Sherbert x Unknown Indica
→ Terpenes: limonene, beta caryophyllene, pinene
As soon as I opened London Pound Cake and smelled it, I had a huge smile on my face. When I’m shopping for cannabis, this is the smell I’m looking for because it gives me energy and clarity!
It smells like gasoline with a hint of lemon and it’s the key to my heart. 💖 This one took home the trophy!

MY FAVORITE PART
Now what if a company doesn’t list the terpenes? Well, most don’t! You’ll have to learn how to rely on your nose, just like we did back in the legacy (see trap) days of no THC percentages, or terpenes.
We as people are all unique and that uniqueness extends all the way to our cannabis preferences. Source Cannabis provides information on their packaging to help you figure out those preferences.
My favorite aspect of their product is the fact that each box has its own QR code so you can see the Certificate of Analysis (COA) of each strain!
This COA provides cannabinoid content, terpenes and much more than can be printed on a label.
All in all, I would get my hands on these boxes ASAP! Source Cannabis has become one of my favorite flower brands through this experience, and I would 10/10 recommend!
