106 & SPARK Premieres on ALTRD.tv

Check Out Our New Countdown Cannabis Show, Executive Produced by Hip Hop Artist Problem

I’m thrilled to announce the Season 1 premiere of our new countdown cannabis culture show: 106 & SPARK!

Catch episodes 1 & 2 streaming now.

Co-hosted by my friend, Sean Chris Spooner and myself, and executive produced by Grammy-nominated hip hop star & entrepreneur Problem, each week we countdown the hottest cannabis brands in the industry, talk cannabis culture & education, discover cannabis-inspired music, and wrap up with a celebrity guest interview.

The home of our new show is ALTRD.tv, available for free streaming on Roku, Apple TV, Google TV, and in the app stores. We’re looking forward to bringing you many more seasons on this platform!

In episode 1, we countdown the Top 5 celebrity cannabis brands, including Seven Leaves by Matt Barnes—which I highly recommend!—and Tyson Ranch by Mike Tyson.

We also highlight important facts like…

Right now we have about 40,000 people sitting behind bars for nonviolent cannabis convictions.

Which is crazy in light of the fact that more & more states are legalizing cannabis, and yet they still have people locked up for cannabis.

It’s time we forgive these people and let them out since these states have legal markets!

And because I’m the Cannabis Cutie, you know we’ve got a Did You Know segment that will blow your mind. Here’s a taste…

This segment is all about why I don’t use the dreaded “M word,” marijuana.

Before cannabis was made illegal in the 1930s, it was called by its scientific name cannabis.

That’s what doctors called it, and pharmacists labeled it as. And kids were taking it, adults, elderly people, pregnant people.

It was a very common medicine, so common that it was the #3 medicine prescribed at the time.

Then some politicians needed to make cannabis illegal to fit their agendas, so they gave it a new name, marijuana, to make it sound exotic.

This is at a time when people were fleeing from the Mexican Revolution south of the border, and with them they were bringing this grass that they were smoking.

Another lie they created was that black jazz players were using cannabis and allegedly luring white women to sleep with them.

So the M word is rooted in hate and it was used to divide and control, and it’s definitely a word we shouldn’t have in our lexicon anymore based upon its racist & xenophobic roots.

Episode 2 features a countdown of the Top 5 legacy strains, as well as an interview with Grammy-nominated artist Problem that you definitely want to check out.

And my Did You Know segment is one you may be familiar with if you follow my blog. It’s all about how your body makes its own cannabis.

We hope this show brings you joy and that you learn something and feel inspired with each episode.

I want to hear what you think! DM me and let me know what your favorite segment is, or if there’s something else you’d like to see on the show.
